Building, Zoning, and Use Permits

Onancock requires permits to ensure that construction and development activities adhere to safety, zoning, and building code regulations, fostering orderly growth and safeguarding the well-being of residents and the community.

Onancock outsources building permits and building inspections to Accomack County.  Please contact the Building and Planning office at the County to obtain your building permit.  The County requires the Town's approved permit in order to complete your building permit application with them.
