General Water Information

Most of Onancock is covered by the Town's central water supply.  All accounts must be opened or closed at Town Hall.

Both Water and Sewer are based on water usage (bi-monthly). There is a connection fee of $50.00 for existing lines and a $30.00 account transfer fee. Call or come into the town office to set up this service.

For a Renter to be billed directly for Water and Sewer, the Town must have a Landlord/Renter Agreement signed by both parties prior to initiating services.  Until that agreement is on file, the sole and complete financial responsibility for the utility rests with the Landlord/Property Owner. 

The Town publishes an Annual Drinking Water Quality Report.  Below is the link to the Town's Annual Water Quality Report.

First-time connection fees for newly constructed homes: Effective 7/1/2023, the water connection fee is $3,500 and the sewer connection fee is $3,400. An additional $200 per foot is charged for connections that require a connection line longer than 25 feet.
