Join us for a weekend of holiday festivities in historic, waterfront Onancock, VA, named one of Coastal Living's “Top 10 Best Small Towns on the Chesapeake Bay”.
The 18th annual Onancock Christmas Homes Tour will be held December 9 from 1-5 p.m. Six private Onancock homes with diverse architectural styles will be decorated for Christmas and open for viewing. Historic Cokesbury Church hosts its free, 18th annual music festival the same day, with a variety of performances.
The weekend kicks off Thursday, December 7 with a free showing of the 1954 classic movie “White Christmas” at the historic Roseland Theatre located in downtown Onancock.
See below for a list of events including Santa’s arrival by boat, and an old-fashioned Christmas Parade. Throughout the weekend, shop for unique, Eastern Shore-made gifts and dine at one of our many restaurants.
This picturesque town will be illuminated with Christmas lights. Onancock, Virginia, chartered in 1680, is one of the oldest towns in Virginia. This year’s Homes Tour will benefit the Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society and the Historic Onancock School Community & Cultural Center. Additional information will be published as available under Activities at www.onancock.org. Questions: Onancockholidays@gmail.com or 757.710.6353.
