BUILDING PERMIT FEES

(If there is any discrepancy between these amounts and the amounts on file at the Town Office, amounts on file at the Town Office will prevail).

1.    BUILDING PERMIT FEES:

a. For all non-commercial buildings and structures requiring a building permit (including additions, re-roofing, etc), the fee shall be $8.00 per 100 square feet or a fraction thereof. Minimum fee:    $40.00
b. For all commercial buildings and structures requiring a building permit, the fee shall be $10.00 per 100 square feet or fraction thereof. Minimum fee:     $40.00
c. The fee for an appeal from the decision of the Building Official to the Building Code Appeals Board shall be $200.00.
d. Remodeling permit fee shall be     $65.00

2. Place of public assembly, parks, community buildings, etc. Community buildings of governmental agencies, civic services and fraternal organizations    $ 250.00

3. Radio and television stations and towers     $150.00

4. Swimming pools - private     $40.00
    Swimming pools - public     $60.00

5. Junk yards up to 5 acres     $400.00
    Junk yards over 5 acres     `$1,000.00

6. Demolition     $25.00

7. All other structures     $125.00

8. Roof projecting signs and pole signs     $50.00

9. New car or truck dealers    $125.00
    Used car or truck dealers     $125.00

10. Terminals, etc.:    

a. Truck terminals, or    
b. Bus terminals, or
c. Yards for- storage or parking of trucks, tractors, buses, trailers, fuel tanks, etc., or
d. Automobile and/or truck rental agency     $150.00

11. Public garage or gasoline service station     $100.00

12. ZONING AND SUBDIVISION FEES:

(a) The fee to apply for a Special Exception, Variance, or Appeal, pursuant to Section 7.5-2 of the Zoning Ordinace, shall be $125.00
(b)
The fee for a proposed rezoning change shall be $250.00.
(c) The fee for a proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance shall be $250.00
(d) The fee for vacating any subdivision plat or any part thereof shall be $150.00

13.    SUBDIVISION REVIEW FEES:
At the time of filing the preliminary plat, the subdivider shall deposit with the subdivision agent, a check payable to the Treasurer of Onancock for the amount applicable under the following subsections:

            (a)  For up to 10 lots, the fee shall be $1,000.00
            (b)  For 11 to 30 lots, the fee shall be $2,000.00
            (c)   For 31 or more lots, the fee shall be $3,000.00

14    TRANSCRIPT FEES
            The fee for tanscription shall be $5.00 per page.

ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
